Sky Talk
I have been avoiding Sky Talk for quite some time, as I have heard that it can work out dearer. However, on a recent call to try and re-jig my Sky TV package to something a little cheaper, the mention of Sky Talk cropped up as usual.
At the moment they are offering line rent for £5 for the first six months, rising to £10 thereafter, not bad considering the current BT line rental is around £11.75, and possibly about to increase. The package I have opted for is Sky Talk Freetime, which gives you :
- free evening and weekend calls.*
- 5% off calls to all mobile and international numbers (compared to BT charges)
I ordered Sky Talk on the 16th February and received a letter from BT on the 21st Feb, stating that I'd decided to leave them. One good thing is that Sky handles all the paperwork side of things for you, contacting BT to terminate etc.
I'm not sure on the date when I will switch over, but I will update this page once I know.
